12/31/08-- HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Hope everyone has a great new year.
12/25/08-- Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Premiere Computer Solutions. We wish everyone a safe and Happy Holiday season.
11/17/08-- Spam drops by up to 75% due to the arrest and shutdown of one spammer. Incredible how one person running and hosting multiple spam servers can effect internet traffic so severely. Spam traffic is expected to pick back up once the spammers find other people to host their spam servers.
6/03/08-- Summer season means thunder storms and lightning. Protect your electronics by buying a new up to date surge protector. We recommend one with a battery backup so that computers and electronics do not just shut off. If you need help picking out the right one give us a call or schedule an appointment for us to come set one up and give your pc a clean up.
5/09/08-- Microsoft comes out with new updates. The release of SP3 for Windows XP and the release of SP1 for Vista. SP3 actually improves performance but SP1 is just a rollup of existing patches.
5/05/08-- New AVG 8.0 comes out with mixed reviews. Premiere Computer Solutions still recommends it in place of Norton or Mcafee.

10/31/07-- HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! Its been a while and a lot has happened over the past couple of months. Lets start with Windows, Windows Vista is better and is now recommended for home use. Most programs and databases are compatible with it now. Vista is still not recommended for business or corporate use. Still too many compatability problems with corporate antivirus and programs. AOL active virus shield is no more. After teaming up with the number one anti-virus company (Kaspersky) AOL decided to go with one of the worst (McAfee). AVG is again the recommended antivirus solution for home users. Premiere Computer Solutions business is growing and continues to be one of the best computer repair companies in the Tallahassee and surrounding areas.
6/4/07-- New free anti-virus is out that detects and removes spyware and trojans as well as viruses. It is offered by AOL. I do not like AOL products and have never promoted using AOL or any of their products, but this new anti-virus is powered by Kaspersky and is fully tested and updated with their databases. Just make sure when installing it to uncheck the AOL security toolbar. Other than that it is pretty AOL junk free and incredibly useful. Download it now under the Free Software Links tab.
4/8/07-- No big problems with daylight savings. Outlook and Exchange server were the only two programs heavily effected. Vista still having program errors and not compatible with most tax software. Premiere Computer Solutions still recommends not upgrading until atleast the first service pack release.
3/10/07--Daylight savings begins tonight at 2a.m. Make sure your computer is up to date. Microsoft has released a patch for all Windows XP and earlier computers to update to the new daylight savings time. Download and install it in the free software links if you have not already done so.
2/11/07--Talks of a new Windows operating system release date and no Im not talking about Vista. This article proves that customers should not upgrade to Windows Vista unless they have to. Check it Out
1/30/07--Windows Vista Released today. Driver and compatability problems still exist. Premiere Computer Solutions offering support for new Vista users.
1/26/07--Not ready to move to Windows Vista yet? Microsoft just extended support for XP home and business users until 2014.
1/09/07-- Google has conquered earth now they look to conquer the universe with Google Universe. Check It Out

12/11/06-- New Zero Day exploit for Microsoft Word. Is it just me or is Microsoft Office more trouble than its worth. Try OpenOffice its free and does not have nearly as many exploits by hackers. Check out this article

11/30/06-- Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007 are now available to Corporate users.

11/17/06- AMD buys ATI graphics for $5.4 billion and implements a much more powerful chip for graphics. Will ATI end up taking over GeForce and Intel in the graphics department?
